Recent reports, redrawn.

Sometimes I read a public report and one chart in it sticks with me — does more work than the rest of the document put together. I pull it out, redraw it, and post it here.

These aren't trying to be useful. They're things I find interesting and want to look at carefully. The data is public, the topics shift around — watches one month, vinyl the next — and the cadence is whenever I have the time.

The latest piece is below. Past ones are listed underneath. They're built to be poked at — hover, drag, toggle.

A reading log that wants to be a ledger.

Marginalia is a personal reading tracker dressed as a printed library ledger — warm paper, hairline rules, italic display type, a single oxblood accent. It began as a design handoff: a high-fidelity prototype I rebuilt from the ground up in this site’s stack.

Track what you’re reading, log a session, save a passage as marginalia, rate a finished book, and watch the 26-week heatmap fill in. It’s a live demo — everything is interactive, but the ledger lives only in memory: a refresh wipes your changes and restores the sample data.
